How do I prevent interference between my Stratus portable receiver’s external GPS antenna and other avionics?

When damaged, the optional external GPS antenna that works with Stratus portables may emit noise that could interfere with other on-board GPS receivers. To prevent this, when handling the external GPS antenna, avoid pinching the cable or bending it near the antenna itself. If you suspect that your GPS antenna may be damaged and causing interference, disconnect the antenna from the receiver. If the interference stops, replace the GPS antenna.

NOTE: This applies only to the external GPS antenna; the GPS antenna located inside the Stratus portable is not susceptible to this issue.
