Stratus portable receivers cannot receive ADS-B weather information outside of the United States since it receives weather information from ground-based ADS-B towers broadcasting on UAT (978). UAT is not available outside of the United States. Additionally, some ADS-B transponders broadcast on the UAT frequency, so this information would not be available outside of the United States. Other features of Stratus portable receivers, such as AHRS, synthetic vision, and the ability to receive 1090 traffic, may work in areas outside of the United States. However, please be aware that Appareo is unable to ship to addresses outside of the United States due to restrictions on technology used in Stratus portable receivers.
