Built-in AHRS
Stratus 4 includes a complete Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) for supplemental attitude information in the cockpit. It aligns itself automatically, so you can just turn it on and fly. Pilots who use synthetic vision will experience a visually stunning and high-performance hazard awareness capability.
Note: AHRS data provided by Stratus should be used for supplemental purposes only. Stratus is not certified for IFR operations.
Dual-band ADS-B Traffic
Stratus 4 includes a dual-band (978 MHz and 1090 MHz) ADS-B receiver and displays traffic information right in your flight app. See your aircraft’s relative altitude, climb/descent rate, and projected track.

Can I dim the Stratus portable receiver LEDs for flying at night?
Yes, you can dim or brighten the LEDs using the LED Brightness slider on the Stratus Status page in ForeFlight Mobile or on the settings page in the Stratus Horizon Pro app.
Can I get traffic information from Stratus portable receivers?
Yes, Stratus 1 and 1S receive traffic on the 978 MHz (UAT) frequency. Stratus 2, 2S, 3, and 4 receive traffic on both the 978 MHz and 1090 MHz (ES) frequencies. The traffic you see on ForeFlight Mobile or on Stratus Insight is only ADS-B traffic. ADS-B traffic only includes the air-to-air traffic received directly from another aircraft and traffic rebroadcast to your aircraft from an ADS-B ground tower.
Do Stratus portable receivers work outside of the United States?
Stratus portable receivers cannot receive ADS-B weather information outside of the United States since it receives weather information from ground-based ADS-B towers broadcasting on UAT (978). UAT is not available outside of the United States. Additionally, some ADS-B transponders broadcast on the UAT frequency, so this information would not be available outside of the United States
